Roundhay Park
Roundhay Park in Leeds, United Kingdom. A few shots from a short walk around a small section of the park on an autumn morning.
Looking down towards Waterloo Lake. The larger of the two lakes at Roundhay Park
The top end of Waterloo Lake, the larger of the two lakes. Once a quarry, built using the employment of soldiers from the Napoleonic Wars. Named accordingly, after the battle of Waterloo.
The Upper Lake, the smaller of the two lakes and personally my favourite part of the park.
A Wider shot of the Upper Lake, water fountains where installed in this lake. The lake is also home to various species of water birds
The Castle, built to look like the gates of a castle and used for social functions. Not much of this remains now, however the view from the steps is one of the best views in the whole park in my opinion.
The view from the top of the steps of The Castle. Down in the distance you can see the top end of Waterloo Lake. The view from here is amazing no matter what time of the year.
Thank you for taking the time to look through this set of photos.
